As an artist I don't sleep much. I woke up early today and decided to get this blog underway. This is a new deal for me, so it will take me some time to get it going and get it right.
I like to paint what strikes me. I create landscapes, but also portraits, and intimate work about my family, generations, and other hobbies that I have. I am an avid seamstress, and love fabric. Above is an image of a painting of my father. In the background I used a pattern from fabric that I liked, with artistic license. I am trying to find ways to incorporate pattern into my pieces, and this is one way to do it.
